How to Make a Cocktail Bar

A cocktail bar can make a party a memorable event. The right equipment and ingredients are key to having the perfect cocktail bar. Following some simple steps will ensure you have the basic items to create delicious drinks that suit the tastes of all your guests.

Instructions

    1

Clear off a portion of the kitchen counter or designate a specific area to be used as the cocktail bar area. Install a small fridge.

    2

Set up the bottle dispenser with six bottles of liquor, such as vodka, whiskey and gin. The bottle dispenser will help in measuring out the proper amount for a shot or a mixed drink. Place the bottle dispenser toward the back of the cocktail bar area to prevent it from being knocked over.

    3

Place corkscrew near the bottle dispenser. This will make it easy to access for wine opening while preparing mixed drinks or shots for other guests.

    4

Place the cocktail shaker, strainer with bar glass and jigger near the bottle dispenser. This will cut down on the amount of time needed to make a mixed drink or shot.

    5

Slice the lemons and limes into 1-inch pieces. Place in a small bowl, cover with plastic wrap and place in the small fridge to be used for mixed drinks.

    6

Place toothpicks next to fruit in fridge. This will make it easy to grab a toothpick and stab a slice needed while preventing unsanitary handling of fruit.

    7

Place glasses and steins up above the bottle dispenser on a shelf or hanging rack. This will make it easy to grab a glass and pour a drink.

    8

Fill ice bucket with ice and place in fridge. This will keep the ice fresher and prevent it from melting as quickly as if it were left out.

    9

Fill the small fridge with a variety of mixers, such as diet cola, club soda, tonic water and ginger ale. Place olives in fridge also.
