How to Clean With White Vinegar

How to Clean With White Vinegar

Aside from many top-selling cleaners available on the market being pricey, many of them are toxic, as well, making them unsafe to use around children and pets while putting a dent in your pocketbook at the same time. Vinegar accommodates the best of both worlds in that it's very inexpensive and highly effective in cleaning just about anything in your home. Keep a spray bottle handy and you're all set to have a clean home without a lot of the hassles and cost.

Instructions

    1

Pour white vinegar into the water chamber in your coffee pot and turn it on. The hot vinegar will eat away any lime scale and clean the internal workings that you can't otherwise reach. Run clean water through after the vinegar and your next pot of coffee will taste noticeably better.

    2

Fill a water bottle with equal parts white vinegar and water. Next time you need to clean up a stain on upholstery or clean your windows or mirrors this will be a fast and effective solution.

    3

Clean your bathroom with white vinegar. Pouring a cup into the toilet bowl before bed can help to eliminate and prevent stubborn stains. Spraying vinegar on the shower walls can eliminate hard-water buildup.

    4

Pour baking soda down a sluggish sink drain and follow it with vinegar. The reaction caused by the combination of the two makes bubbles that can help to dislodge anything that may be clogging it.

    5

Setting a bowl of white vinegar in a room can help to neutralize odors. Pouring a cup of vinegar in the washing machine during the rinse cycle can also help to eliminate odors in fabrics; it makes fabrics softer, as well.
